Every programme begins with a personal consultation on arrival. Your Ayurvedic physician and wellness team design your protocol around your constitution, condition, and goals — nothing is standardised.

Every evening, as the sun descends over Haridwar, the Ganges is honoured with fire. At Ekaanta’s private ghaat, you witness this ancient ritual in stillness — not in the crowds of Har Ki Pauri, but in intimate company with the river itself.
Candlelight, mantras, the sound of the current, and the cool evening air of the Himalayas. The Aarti is followed by a bhajan sandhya — live devotional music with harmonium and tabla that carries into the night.
Daily at dusk — timing varies with the season

Shinrin-Yoku — the Japanese practice of forest bathing — is one of the most clinically validated wellness practices in the world. Cortisol drops, blood pressure lowers, NK (natural killer) cells increase, and the mind quiets in ways that no indoor practice can replicate.
Ekaanta’s forest bathing sessions are guided by a certified practitioner, within the ancient forests of Rajaji National Park — one of India’s richest wildlife corridors, just minutes from the property. Some sessions include a trail to a hidden waterfall, with a picnic basket at the end.

Each morning at Ekaanta begins the same way — with breath. As the sun rises over the Himalayas and the Ganges catches the first light, guests gather at the ghaat for guided Pranayama and Yoga with our resident instructor.
The combination of clean Himalayan-fed river air, early morning light, and structured breathwork creates a quality of practice that is genuinely impossible to replicate in a studio. For many guests, these morning sessions become the defining memory of their stay.

Live devotional music on the ghaat — harmonium, tabla, and the voice of the river. Sound healing sessions in the mini amphitheatre, led by visiting masters, are also available for groups and individuals.
Haridwar sits at the edge of one of India's richest wildlife corridors. Guided morning birdwatching walks in Rajaji slow the mind, sharpen observation, and connect guests with the extraordinary biodiversity of the Himalayan foothills.
A guided cultural walk through the spiritual heart of one of India's oldest cities — the Har Ki Pauri ghat, the temple corridor, the bazaars, and the living traditions of a city that has been a pilgrimage destination for 5,000 years.
A chaperoned pilgrimage to the two Siddha Peethas of Haridwar — Mansa Devi atop Bilwa Parvat and Chandi Devi on Neel Parvat — with VIP darshan arranged by the Ekaanta team.
Guided Yoga Nidra sessions in the dedicated yoga hall, and meditation sessions on the ghaat rocks by the river — both led by our resident practitioner. Available as private or small-group sessions.
A day trip to Rishikesh — attending the Parmarth Niketan Ganga Aarti, visiting the Beatles Ashram (Chaurasi Kutiya) for transcendental meditation, and exploring the yoga capital of the world.
An enchanting private evening — Ganga Aarti at dusk, followed by a gourmet Ayurvedic dinner and a film screening under the stars. Available for individuals, couples, and small groups as a curated evening experience.
A personally conducted Ganga puja at Ekaanta's private ghaat — flowers, diyas, mantras, and the river. Arranged with a pandit and completely private. A profound way to begin or close a wellness stay.
Ekaanta's curated library of wellness, Ayurveda, spirituality, and literature is available to all guests. Quiet reflection corners, journaling sessions, and unstructured time are considered as important as the therapies.
Other wellness retreats in Haridwar and the broader region have the Ganges in the distance — as scenery. At Ekaanta, the Ganges is at your feet. Our private ghaat means you can sit on the steps at 5am, with no one else around, and watch the first light come over the Himalayas.
This is not a feature of our property. It is the foundation of the healing it offers.

Most Ekaanta experiences are included for retreat guests. Day visitors and non-guests can book select experiences directly. Contact us to arrange.
